Version 5 – Glory of the Empire Released!

Hey all,

I told you earlier that I expected that we wouldn’t have to wait too long for the new version anymore. Well, guess what? Today at 04:00 AM GMT-5 Version 5 – Glory of the Empire will be released!

Apparently this is a very big update, so the normal automatic update will not work. This means you’ll have to download the complete game again, or the update patch. I guess I’ll start downloading the patch immediately

And with this new release, a new server is being opened too: Capricorn. On top of that all, you can also celebrate Thanksgiving. This means that there will be lots of events these coming days!

Shizune Quest bugged

Hey all,

As the looks of it now, the Shizune Quest (Quest to get Shizune as your companion) is bugged. Details will be posted later on and hopefully IGG can solve the problem with the next maintenance.

Events for release of Capricorn Server

Hey all,

The Capricorn server has been released in Wonderland Online yesterday and there’s a whole bunch of events to celebrate this! For some reason IGG decided to have the Capricorn access related to a specific location. This means that is possible that you can NOT find or enter the server, while it is suggested as a starting server. If you cannot see it in the list of servers, it means you’re somewhere where you don’t have the access.

I k now the server is NOT available in the Netherlands. If I know about more countries where the server is NOT available, I’ll let you all know!

King of newbie’s

From November 26th to December 6th EST (GMT-5)

1st Place (King of the Newbie’s): Small Demon Scroll (50% success rate of forging. If success, +4 attributes, if loss, -2 attributes. Cannot be traded) x 5
2nd Place: Small Demon Scroll (50% success rate of forging. If success, +4 attributes, if loss, -2 attributes. Cannot be traded) x 3
3rd Place: Small Demon Scroll (50% success rate of forging. If success, +4 attributes, if loss, -2 attributes. Cannot be traded) x 2

Glory of the Empire & New Capricorn Server

It’s official! Glory of the Empire has been released and with it the new Capricorn server! As IGG states themselves:

If you have trouble downloading or logging in, here are some tips to get you (back) into the game:

1. Error 65 related problem

If you have an Error 65 problem when you log into the game, it means you haven’t updated the whole new version 5.0 client. Please uninstall the version 4.0 client first, and then  click here to download the entire version 5.0 client. (wl_setup_5.0.0_20091124.exe, 556M)

2. Resolutions for dealing with the update problem in Vista

If you have downloaded the v.5.0 client (wl_setup_5.0.0_20091124.exe), please try to install it along a different route on your computer.

For example, when setting it up, if it says it will install the new client at ‘C:\Program Files(x86)\Wonderland Online’, then just change the route a bit by typing some numbers or changing the disk. Eg:  ‘C:\Program Files(x86)\Wonderland Online1124′ or ‘D:\Program Files(x86)\Wonderland Online’, then completing the install. (Make sure there’s no unusually shaped words or icons in the name of folder).

Then login with the main.exe or alogin.exe in the new route to login the game.

Finally, take some time to delete the old Wonderland Online v.4.0 client folder to make more room on your disk .

3. Suggestion for people who download the patch (name: wl_up_5.0.0_20091124 about 17.8M)

a) Before installing the patch, please make sure you have shut down all the old v.4.0 client applications. Do not leave the alogin.exe window open when installing the patch or it will fail to update.

b) When you download the patch you will still need to install it. Double click on it and then it will lead you to set the route to install the patch. Click the ‘change‘ button beside it, then reset the route to the the v.4.0 client on your computer. Setting the right route will help you update the client smoothly.

Thanksgiving event

Hey all,

Like I told you earlier, we’ll get to enjoy a Thanksgiving event together with the release of Glory of the Empire. Here’s all the information about the Thanksgiving event!

It’s a nice event, again depending on dropped items.

What to do?

You’ll need to defeat level 10+ monsters to have the chance to get a Thanksgiving Turkey (Not trade able) and a Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie (Not trade able). You can either double click each item to get rewards, or exchange the Turkey and Pumpkin pie together to get the Thanksgiving Box (not trade able).

Event Duration

The Drop-event takes place from November 25th, 04:00 am (GMT-5) until November 30th, 11:00 pm (GMT-5). You can exchange the gifts from November 25th, 04:00 am (GMT-5) until December 6th, 11:00 pm (GMT-5).

How to exchange?

You have to go to the Astrologist in Kelan Village, whom you’ve already met in your quest Unknown Fate & Guided Future. If you give her the Turkey and Pie, you’ll get a Thanksgiving Box.
